We are like fragile jars made of clay and we must put our trust in Jesus and hold onto faith, hope and love.

Pentecost Sunday

Today is also Pentecost Sunday, when Christians all over the world remember and celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit. Please read Acts chapters 1 and 2 for the full account.

After the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven, the disciples went into a strange time of waiting. All their old routines had broken down; they knew they had a message to share, but they weren’t sure what it was, and they didn’t know what was going to happen next.

In Acts chapter 2 verses 2-4, we read, ‘Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.' (NLT)

You will have to read the bible for yourself to find out what happens next : )

These are strange times too. We’ve had to find new ways to worship and stay connected as a church and we too aren’t sure what’s going to happen next. But we’re still hopeful for the future.

Be expectant today, for God to move during these unprecedented times and may God fill you with his Holy Spirit as he filled the disciples at the first Pentecost.

Closing Worship Song #3  Consuming Fire - Tim Hughes

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome and we do not sit in pews, instead we have comfy chairs which can easily be moved around for flexibility. We normally start with a time of uplifting worship music, followed by biblical teaching and sharing our faith in Jesus.

Tea and coffee refreshments are served after the service at around 12pm.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a Sunday school for the little ones, kids and teenagers, and they go out to their supervised groups just before the main word/sermon.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.

Please feel free to contact us.

Everyone is welcome, come as you are, we would love to see you here one Sunday morning.
